I was in search of a business that had an innovative product or service that could improve people’s lives who were dealing with chronic pain. In early 2015, I came across an article on cryotherapy and its benefits for pain management and athletic recovery. I was intrigued because my brother was living with constant neck and shoulder pain after a 1999 diving accident left him paralyzed. I was also personally living with chronic pain from fracturing my fibula playing softball. It was surgically repaired. Doctors wanted to remove the plate and screws that were inserted a few years prior. I was hesitant to ‘go under the knife’ for another procedure and tried alternative modalities such as acupuncture prior to coming across cryotherapy. I have been using whole body cryotherapy ever since and no longer have pain. After seeing the results first hand, I spent hundreds of hours researching this industry and ultimately pursued the idea of opening Boost Cryospa + Wellness. I am proud to offer an alternative pain management solution that does not include drugs or invasive procedures.
Co-Founder Adam Schoener was in search of new business opportunities when his partner Ross Niskar suggested looking into the cryotherapy industry. As a former Ironman Athlete, Adam was very familiar with the use of cold therapy to help with athletic recovery and performance. After an abundance of research, Adam realized that cryotherapy could really help with a number of conditions, as well as general wellness. With this information, Adam decided that this was the business he wanted to pursue.
In 1994 Adam co-founded Boulder Financial, the alternative lending division of Rock Financial. As Vice President of Sales, he was instrumental in growing this division to over 400 team members. This contributed to transforming Rock Financial into a publicly traded company in 1998. The company was sold to Intuit in 1999 and became Quicken Loans. In 2000, Adam launched Boulder Credit Services Inc., a debt management company.
Adam earned a Bachelors Degree from Michigan State University and is currently the President of Boulder Credit Services Inc.
